I was born in Arlington, VA., but was adopted and raised in Mobile, AL from infancy. After graduation from Mobile Christian School in 1983, I attended and received a B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in computers from Mobile College (now known as University of Mobile) in 1988. Upon graduation I went to work at Knollwood Hospital in 1988 and in 1990 the University of South Alabama acquired the hospital (USA Knollwood Hospital). I transferred to USA Chemical Engineering in September, 2005, when Mobile Infirmary acquired Knollwood as part of the agreement to build the Mitchell Cancer Institute.

My family is very sports oriented and have many ties with USA. My husband, Maurice, is a USA alumni and my step-son, Clark, pitched for USA for three years before being drafted by the San Diego Padres. He is completing his degree at USA in Leisure Services. Our youngest son, Jon Marc, is a also very involved with baseball and basketball.

I'm an active member at a local church and my hobbies are watching TLC, cross-stitching, watching my boys play sports and being with family.
