Please Note:	•	SAT equivalent can be used in place of ACT scores.
	•	GPA used is that computed by the USA Office of Admissions on six semesters
	•	Students who receive the Presidential Scholarships must maintain a required GPA for the scholarship to be renewed.

BAY AREA FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
FOR 2008 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

Application Procedures

Presidential Scholarships will be awarded starting on December 1 for freshmen students entering the University the following fall semester. The awards are made on a first-come basis to the most qualified applicants who have completed files. Funds are depleted early, so applicants are urged to apply early.

To be considered for scholarships, students must:

•	Apply for admission to the University of South Alabama,
•	Submit a USA scholarship application,
•	Request official ACT or SAT scores be mailed to the USA Office of Admissions,
•	Request an official high school transcript be mailed to the the Office of Admissions (transcript must show grades through the junior year and be mailed directly from the school), and
•	Complete the above procedures by December 1 for first consideration. Funds are depleted early.
