ANNOUNCEMENT: WOOD DUCK BOXES

An Eagle Scout and Sam St. John, a member of the Alabama Coastal Foundation, are working together to build wood duck boxes. For $25, the scout will build and install them on trees of your choice. If you prefer, you may use a steady pole instead of a tree. If you would like to support wood ducks, but you do not have a place for a wood duck box, Dr. Brenda Litchfield will locate a spot for you on Dog River. Dr. Litchfield notes that wood boxes do best if they are out of the line of sight of each other. They prefer their space. Mating begins in the spring so the ducks will soon be looking for a home.  To order one of more wood duck boxes, contact
