The University of South Alabama department of cardiorespiratory care will be showing displays, holding skills demonstrations, and giving pulmonary function screenings at Colonial Bel-Air Mall on Saturday, October 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This will kick off National Respiratory Care Week, which recognizes respiratory therapists nation-wide and runs from October 24 until October 30.
In addition, USA faculty members Fred Hill, Bill Pruitt, and Tim Op’t Holt and other respiratory therapists across the state are celebrating the passage of the Alabama Respiratory Therapy Licensure Act after more than 20 years of effort to get passed.
