2006 Pulitzer Prize Awardee To Lecture on the History of Polio in America

The Mobile Medical Museum will host a lecture on the history of polio in America given by David M. Oshinsky, Ph.D., on May 10, 2006 at 6 p.m.
Last week (April 17), Oshinsky was awarded the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for history for his book "Polio: An American Story."
Oshinsky is the George Littlefield Professor of History at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a leading historian of modern American politics and society.
The lecture is sponsored by Mobile Medical Museum, AmSouth Bank and University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
Physicians who attend the lecture will be eligible for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit given for participation in this educational activity.
