USA All About Kids Expo
Hosted by Department of Pediatrics

The University of South Alabama Department of Pediatrics will host the first USA All About Kids Expo on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the USA Springhill Avenue Campus on the corner of Springhill Avenue and Catherine Street.

The purpose of the All About Kids Expo is to improve the use of car safety restraints for children. Booster seats will be given away at the event and free car seat inspections and installations will be provided.

Local and regional agencies who advocate for children’s health and pediatric injury prevention will also participate. Families who visit will be able to participate in a “bike rodeo” provided by the Alabama Department of Traffic and Highway Safety.

Enrollment for uninsured children into Medicaid or All-Kids will be available and the Alabama Department of Highway Safety will provide a “safe city” for children to learn about traffic safety and be able to drive an electric car.

The Mobile Fire Department will also be at the All About Kids Expo with a fire truck and talk to the children about fire safety. There will also be face painting and other booths regarding various health issues.

For more information regarding the All About Kids Expo please call (251) 434-3971.
