| MOBILE – A record of more than $1 million in support was announced at the close of the 24th Children's Miracle Network Celebration broadcast May 31 at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital and FOX 10. The announced total of $1,027,108 in pledges and gifts for the hospital’s pediatric services is a five percent increase in support from last year and a remarkable 66 percent increase from three years ago.

“This level of support will enable us to do even more as we provide the area’s best care for our community’s sick and injured children,” Dr. Becky DeVillier, USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital administrator, said. “It’s gratifying and energizing when our community and region so convincingly reaffirms their commitment to us.” |
|
| The event was broadcast live on FOX 10 and the Gulf Coast CW, and featured FOX 10 news anchors, hospital employees, “miracle children” stories, and videos of the extensive pediatric care provided at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

“We are overwhelmed by this level of support, especially as many health care facilities around the country experience reduced giving,” Dr. Joseph Busta, USA vice president for development and alumni relations, said. “We want to say thank you to everyone.” |
