MOBILE – The Alabama Fire Sprinkler Association's 17th Annual "Tony Bice Memorial Burn Centers Golf Invitational" is scheduled for May 17 at the Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham. Funds raised support the three burn centers in the state, but all funds generated in the Mobile area will be designated for the University of South Alabama Regional Burn Center at USA Medical Center.
"Over the years, we've received vitally needed funds from this event that directly benefitted our burn patients," Dr. Arnold Luterman, director of the USA Regional Burn Center, said. "Whether it was specialized equipment for our patients or educational programs for our care team, the funds have enhanced the high level of care for the nearly 500 burn patients we treat every year."
Numerous sponsorship and golfer packages are available for the event, which has a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Mobile's S&S Sprinkler Co. and Hydro Technologies are teaming with the USA Regional Burn Center to raise awareness in the community.
