The Mission:
To actively involve high potential minority students in science and math learning
activities as well as to further extend the pipeline to medical and health science careers.
Leaning Objectives and Curriculum:
STRIPES consist of a four-week summer enrichment session in which students
are exposed to an intense abridged math- and science-based curriculum with hands-on
activities while increasing their knowledge of healthcare professions, minority
health disparities.
The objective of this summer session is to allow students to develop basic health
career awareness and to become better prepared academically for high school.

Eligibility:
- Must be an ethnic/racial minority
- Mattie T. Blount, John L. LeFlore, C. F. Vigor, Ben C. Rain, and
Williamson High Schools rising freshman and rising sophomore students
- 3.0 grade point average
- 1 math course
- 1 science course
- Plans to attend College
- Curious about science and health
