Admission Requirement Check List

Note: The following Check list can be printed and used to assist you in preparing your application for admission.

Application Form and Fee

Completed International Application for Admissions form and $35 USD processing fee, payable through a U.S. bank. Application received without the $35 USD fee will not be processed.
Academic Records
Official copies of academic records of course work completed in secondary schools, colleges, universities, or professional institutions are required. It is your responsibility to request that one academic record, bearing the original stamp or seal and signature of a government or school official (e.g., registrar or dean), be sent to the Office of International Services from each institution you have attended. Whenever possible, academic records must be sent directly from the issuing institution. If you have a U.S. bachelor's degree or its equivalent, secondary school records are not required. Notarized copies are not accepted.

Your academic records should list the subjects you studied by year, the number of weekly lecture and laboratory hours in each attempt at every subject, grades, marks, or percentages earned in year-end examinations, and copies of diplomas, titles, degrees, or certificates. Consolidated marksheets are not accepted.

Academic records not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.

English Proficiency for Nonnative Speakers

Undergraduate Requirements:

Minimum TOEFL score of 175 (61) OR a 19 on the English score of the ACT OR 510 on the SAT I Verbal score OR an A, B, or C on Ordinary / Advanced Level English Examinations from the United Kingdom OR a minimum IELTS score of 5.5.

Graduate Requirements:

Minimum TOEFL score of 197 (71) is required. Applicants who have received a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited U.S. institution are not required to submit TOEFL results.
General Requirements
  • Two passport-size photographs.
  • Prospective student athletes who are admitted as freshmen must submit an official ACT or SAT score report.
  • International students (F-1) applying as transfer students from institutions within the United States must submit a completed Transfer Eligibility form.
  • A notarized financial affidavit and a certified bank statement for at least $21,986 USD per academic year (based on 9 months).
  • Photocopy of your passport.
Graduate Students Only:

Standardized Tests
Standardized test scores must be sent to the University. GMAT for the Mitchell College of Business and GRE for all other Colleges (i.e. School of Computer and Information Sciences, College of Engineering, etc.).

Letters of Recommendation
Three original letters of recommendation written by persons familiar with the applicant's academic qualifications and ability to undertake the proposed course of study.

International Students interested in the Doctorate of Medicine (MD) program must have permanent resident status in the United States.
