Jaguar Varsity Club
The Jaguar Varsity Club was founded in 2010 to perpetuate fellowship among alumni who have earned varsity letters in any of the intercollegiate sports sponsored by the University of South Alabama and to bond with the administration in promoting Jaguar athletics.
The organization sponsors student athletes, their teams and coaching staffs in addition to providing funding for Letterman Awards. Involvement includes events to welcome freshmen to the University and its lifestyle, scholarship donations, the USA Athletic Hall of Fame, annual banquets and events as well as presentation of senior gifts in a ceremony climaxing the career of each athlete.
Membership
Activities of the Jaguar
Varsity Club are financed through membership
gifts and proceeds from fund raising activities.
Membership is open to all former studentathletes
and support groups (cheerleaders,
dance team members, athletic trainers and
managers) sponsored by the University of South
Alabama. Persons who have demonstrated
significant support of South Alabama Athletics
through employment and/or any activities for
the good of the athletic department are also
eligible for membership. The membership runs
from July 1 through June 30 and gifts are $50.00.
Governing Body
The Jaguar Varsity Club is governed by Jaguar Athletic Fund elected officials who serve year to year and a board of directors whose terms run on a three year rotation.
