Seminar and Colloquium Organizer
From Fall 1989 until Summer 1996 Helmut Strade, Peter Slodowy, and I organized the Algebra Seminar in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Hamburg, Germany. In this time period I also organized other seminars (alone and jointly with colleagues) on various other topics as Fractal Geometry, Elliptic Curves, Knot Theory, and Probability for Teachers.
Since Fall 2003 Cornelius Pillen and I (joined by Yorck Sommerhäuser in Fall 2007) are organizing the Algebra Seminar in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Alabama.
Since Fall 2004 (with a break of one year from Fall 2007 until Spring 2008) I am also organizing the Colloquium in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of South Alabama.
