Column 1: This schedule is tentative; we could fall behind or catch up as the semester proceeds. If you click on a section number in the schedule, a new window will open with a quiz covering that section. These quizzes are provided by your textbook publisher.

Column 4: The ``Stewart Ch. #'' links will open a new window and take you to a webpage provided by your textbook publisher with links, organized by section, to other websites containing material pertinent to that chapter's material.

The ``PT visuals'' links will open a new window and take you to a page containing graphical examples of some of the concepts covered in that chapter. The page itself contains still images. Clicking on these images will take you either to a movie from which the image comes, or to a graph with sliders enabling you to adjust certain parameters and see how the graph changes. In order to view these examples, you will need to download the FREE Pacific Tech graphing calculator viewer. There are three options:

  • The Viewer is available for Windows, Mac OS 9, and Mac OS X 10.3 and higher. This release is free and is entirely sufficient to enable you to view the given examples.
  • Version 1 is also free, but is only available for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X 10.3 and higher. This version enables you to view the examples as well as create some of your own, although the graphing capability for your own creations is somewhat limited (e.g., one graph per screen). If you have Mac OS 9 (or Classic loaded on your OS X) you probably already have this installed. [Update: It appears this version may no longer be offered.]
  • If you have some cash to spare, Version 3 is available for $60 (with the student discount), works on the same operating systems as the viewer, and has full functionality.
