Abstract
The 1926 paper of Alexander and Briggs suggests a combinatorial knot invariant by coloring the crossings of a diagram. We describe its equivalence with the well-known Fox colorings of arcs and Dehn colorings of regions. This is joint work with Scott Carter and Susan Williams.
