Text.   Advanced Engineering Mathematics (2nd edition)   by Michael D. Greenberg.

Objectives and coverage.   This is the second part of a two-course sequence
intended to provide a good foundation in various areas of applicable mathematics.
We will cover most of Chapter 17, and parts of Chapters 18-20 of the text.
Topics include Fourier series, Fourier transform, and their applications to
partial differential equations of mathematical physics such as the heat equation,
the wave equation, and the Laplace equation.

Exams.   There will be two in-class exams and a two-hour final exam.
The final will be cumulative, but the material covered after the second exam
will be emphasized.

Homework.   A homework assignment will be given each Wednesday, it will be due
the following Wednesday. No late homework will be accepted.
