Dr. Donald R. Epley
Donald R. Epley PhD CCIM MAI is the Distinguished Professor of Real Estate and the current Director of the Mitchell College of Business Center for Real Estate Studies. He has authored and coauthored eight textbooks over 25 years and approximately 90 referred journal articles. He was the Editor of the Journal of Real Estate Research, served on the Editorial Board since its creation, and was the guest editor for a special issue on Mortgage Markets. He was the founding editor of the Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education.
   
   
Dr. Mohan K. Menon
  
Dr. Mohan K. Menon
Mohan Menon, Professor and Chair of the Department. Professor Menon served as an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota-TCD before joining MCOB in September 1991. He received a BBA from Madurai University, an MBA from University of Madras, and a Doctorate from University of Memphis.

His research interests include e-commerce, international business and marketing, ethics, and logistics. His teaching interests include e-commerce, Internet marketing, international business, international marketing, and marketing management. Professor Menon is a member of the International Academy of E-Business, Academy of International Business, and Academy of Business Administration. He has presented his research at international, national, and regional meetings of these and other organizations.

His research has been published in Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Applied Business Research, Sports Marketing Quarterly, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Global Business, Journal of EuroMarketing, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Teaching International Business, American Business Review, Journal of Marketing Education, Journal of Education for Business, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, etc.
   
   
Mr. Tom Oldweiler, Esq.
  
Mr. Tom Oldweiler, Esq.
Mr. Oldweiler serves as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate. He is a graduate of Duke University (AB) and Vanderbilt School of Law (JD). Mr. Oldweiler is one of the leading practitioners of real estate law in Mobile and a partner in Armbrecht Jackson LLP, one of Mobile’s leading law firms.

When Mr. Oldweiler achieved the top peer rating level in Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory in 1996, he was believed to be the youngest lawyer in Alabama rated at the highest level. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America guide in the Financial Institutions Law area.
   
   
Dr. Fred Wu
  
Dr. Fred Wu

Professor Wu joined the finance faculty in August 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in BA from the Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. from Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to his doctoral studies, Professor Wu worked at Providian Financial Corporation (now part of Washington Mutual)'s asset acquisition division where he was part of a team that acquired distressed assets. Before coming to America, he was employed by one of the largest land developers in China.

Professor Wu teaches finance as well as real estate. In 2004, he received grant from the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) in Chicago to conduct research on UPREIT tax issues. His current research interests include real estate investment and taxation, UPREITs, commercial real estate markets, and financial contracting.

   
   
Ms. Jo Ann Bingel
  
Ms. Jo Ann Bingel
Ms. Bingel has held a real estate broker's license since 1987. Throughout her real estate career, she was a multi-million dollar producer, owned and managed a real estate agency in the St. Louis metropolitan area, invested in several real estate ventures, and served for several years on the Board of Directors for both the St. Louis Association of Realtors as well as the Missouri Association of Realtors. In addition, Ms. Bingel also served as a Docket Investigator for the St. Louis Association of Realtors Grievance Committee and a Panel Member for the St. Louis Association's Ethics and Professional Standards Committee.

She is a Graduate of the Realtor Institute of Missouri (residential and commercial/investment) and successfully completed the requirements to earn the designation of Certified Residential Specialist. She is an approved Prelicensing Instructor for the Alabama Real Estate Commission. Qualified in a variety of disciplines, Ms. Bingel has been teaching and developing professional curriculum at several colleges and universities since 1991. She attended Webster University earning a Master of Arts degree in Business Management.
   
   
Mr. Reid Cummings
  
Mr. Reid Cummings
Mr. Cummings has experience in shopping center, office building, warehouse development leasing and management. Currently his primary focus is on development of waterfront properties and residential subdivisions in Mobile and Baldwin County. Mr. Cummings holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of North Carolina and an MBA from University of Mobile. He also holds three professional designations including Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM), and Accredited Land Consultant (ALC).
