A community-wide memorial service will be held on the University of South Alabama campus today, Wednesday, Oct. 2, for USA President Emeritus Gordon Moulton, whose career spanned most of the University's first half-century and culminated with 15 years as USA's president. The memorial is set for 4 p.m. in the Mitchell Center arena on campus, and Geri Moulton will receive guests immediately following at the same location.

In order to allow students and faculty to attend the memorial service, classes will not be held today from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the University of South Alabama's main campus. Faculty should end classes in time to allow students to make their way to the Mitchell Center. Normal class schedules will resume at 6 p.m.

In an effort to ensure that the Moulton family, community guests, the elderly and handicapped are afforded a convenient place to park for the memorial service, it is requested that USA employees and students remain parked in their normal parking spaces instead of driving to the Mitchell Center parking lot. If your normal parking lot is an extreme distance from the Mitchell Center, please park in the Gamma or Humanities parking lots off South Drive. JagTran will be running multiple shuttles between these lots for everyone's convenience.
