Performance Reviews
Mobile Press Register, February 11, 2001, 2A
Review by Thomas B. Harrison
“…a gifted Mobilian who more than
lived up to his reputation for piano artistry.”
“(Holm) gave an extraordinary interpretation of
Liszt’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, No.
1 in E-flat.”
“…a dual showcase for (Apo) Hsu and Holm,
who leapt into the work (Liszt’s Concerto for
Piano and Orchestra, No. 1 in E-flat) with an intensity that
might’ve pleased the colorful Franz himself.”
Mobile Press Register, August 26, 2002, 2A
Review by Thomas B. Harrison
“…(Holm) proved adept at keeping pace with
this decidedly up-tempo rendition of Gershwin’s signature
work (Rhapsody in Blue).”
“(Gershwin’s) Rhapsody was both rapid and
rapturous…Holm’s performance emphasized the
improvisational quality that runs throughout…”
