The Office of International Education reports to the USA Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. It is envisioned that the USA Office of International Education provides leadership and advocacy on behalf of the university and college objectives and goals for international education and exchanges. USA OIE therefore:
facilitates and implements the international goals of the University of South Alabama in collaboration with USA colleges and academic units
fosters collaboration with executive leadership, faculty and academic programs to incorporate international dimensions across the curriculum and research
through resources, services and support functions, fosters and expands opportunities for faculty and students to participate in "education abroad" both on and off campus
raises the University of South Alabama's profile in the State of Alabama and nation as an institution with a global presence
