Digital images can be used in many ways, but there are two general
types of end-use:
- Images used and viewed in printed documents
- Images used in electronic documents to be viewed on a monitor.
Key
Point: Digital images to be viewed in print documents must be of higher resolution
than those which will be viewed on a computer monitor.
You will learn in this tutorial that digital image resolution is most
important and you will learn how to capture and optimize images so that
they have the final resolution you want. And of course you will learn
just what resolution means in a digital imaging construct.
