Unit 2 Color:
5 of 23
By turning on one of the bulbs to a maximum, we can make the primary
colors:
| |
|
|
Red
RGB= (255,0,0) |
Green
RGB= (0,255,0) |
Blue
RGB= (0,0,255) |
Just as with the grays, setting the three bulbs to different settings
will produce different shades of the primary colors. How many different
colors can we make?
With 256 settings for each bulb, we have 256x256x256 = 16.7 million
different colors we can make!. This palette -a grouping of
colors-is known as True Color or 24 Bit Color since each
bulb has 8 bits. Recall that 28 is
256. You will about more palettes later but now you will get
to make some colors.
