Complete the following steps and write your answers in the blanks. Turn in this exercise at the end of the Tutorial.

  1. Minimize the Tutorial window and start Photoshop 5.5. Open the File dialog box by using the File:New sequence.
  2. Set the image width to 8 inches and the height to 10 inches. Set the Resolution to 150 dpi and select a color mode of grayscale -Image:Mode:GrayScale. Photoshop 5.5 assumes "Grayscale" means a bit depth of 8.
    What is the file size in MB? _______________
  3. Change both of the image dimension units to pixels . What are the pixel dimensions of the image?__________________. 
  4. Change the bit depth to RGB (24 bits). What is the file size now?_______
  5. Change the resolution to 100 dpi.  Did the pixel dimensions change? ____
