Digital Cameras

The price of digital cameras has dropped so much that they really are affordable. And the quality of the images they produce has improved to the point that some digital cameras can produce printed images rivaling those from conventional film cameras.  

We will not spend much time in this tutorial on digital cameras. Learning to take good digital photographs is stuff for another course. It will be sufficient here to remind you to learn how to operate the camera you are using so that you can control the size and resolution of the images you capture with it.  Capture as much detail as possible of the scene you want by setting the camera to its highest resolution - it may be called "Quality" and its largest image size. The resulting image files will contain the most "information, giving Photoshop the most data to work with and resulting in a final image of the best quality.
