| Running FileMaker Pro and start Instant Web Publishing (IWP) |
| Objective:
This job aid shows how to run FileMaker Pro and enable Instant Web Publishing (IWP). The example used below is our timelog database, by activating IWP for our timelog database, other people on other machines will be able to access the database as long as FileMaker Pro is running. |

| Step 1: FileMaker Pro 7.3 is installed on the OLL1 machine. Log into the OLL1 account and double click on the FileMaker Pro icon on the desktop.

| Step 2: On the first dialog box, select the “Open an existing file” radio button and click on the “OK” button.

| Step 3: Browse to the folder “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\TAN\” and double click on the fp7 file named “OLL staff timelog.”

Step 4: Enter your login and password.

| Step 5: Now that you have the file opened, you will publish it on the Internet using the built in Instant Web Publishing feature. On the main window, click on the top drop down menu “Edit > Sharing > Instant Web Publishing.”

Step 6: On the new dialog box, Select “On” for Instant Web Publishing. Write down the URL and click “OK.”

| Step 7: You have just published the database on the web and may now access it remotely from another computer as long as FileMaker Pro is kept running. |

| Step 8: Open up your browser and type in the URL, the IWP page will show up. |
