Paddle Ocoee River/Horseback Riding/Paintball/Challenge Course

Come join Campus Recreation and Outdoor Adventures for a Whitewater Paddle on the Ocoee River, Horseback Riding on trails, and your choice of paint ball competition, a challenge course, or a 2nd paddle on the Ocoee or a 2nd horseback ride, all at 1900 feet in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee (google White Water Express for more details.) March 15 – 17   (Friday – Sunday). We will paddle five miles and plunge 269 feet on the most continuous stretch of Class III and IV rapids in the   country, tumbling through a spectacular scenic gorge in the Cherokee National forest.  In our guided raft, we will maneuver around treacherous boulders, crashing waves and drop over steep ledges.  The horseback ride will be led by a guide through a scenic wooded vista.

                 Day 1 - Leave at 8:00 a.m. from the Student Recreation Center.  Drive 7 hours to Copperhill, TN.  Check into our Bunkhouse (linen not provided). Relax and explore camp, free disc golf, or rent some mountain bikes ($10 per bike). Free dinner.
 
                 Day 2 – Four activities: whitewater paddle, horseback ride, paintball, challenge course (or substitute
                 a second paddle for any of the above.)   Free breakfast, lunch, dinner.

                 Day 3 – Free breakfast.  Return to Mobile around 4:00 p.m.
                                                                                                      
               Cost: students: $225, family members $230; staff/faculty/alums: $235, family members $240, non-USA: $250.  Fee includes transportation, activity fees, all equipment, bunkhouse fees, five meals.
