Walking Tour of Mobile
Come join Campus Recreation and Outdoor Adventures as we embark on a Walking Tour of Mobile on Saturday, April 27.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see downtown historic Mobile “up close and personal.” Our walk – with the very knowledgeable and entertaining Richard Rose serving as our guide - will enable us to develop a real historical understanding of this wonderful city as we stroll by antebellum homes, museums, monuments, and old cemeteries. We will walk 7 miles in 4 hours and will stop 1 hour for lunch at “A Spot of Tea.” Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes and your camera. We will leave the Rec Center at 8:30 a.m. – or meet at Fort Conde at 9:00 a.m. - and return around 3 p.m.
Cost: $5 for students and family members, $10 for faculty/staff/alums and family members, $15 for non-USA.
How to sign-up: Leave a check for the full amount payable to “U.S.A.” (sorry, no cash) along with your name(s) and cell phone number(s) at the Front Desk of the Student Recreation Center. We will call you to confirm your place on the trip along with more information. We will accept registrants until day prior to trip. Fee is non-refundable within 1 days of trip UNLESS we can replace you or trip is canceled. Checks will not be deposited until completion of trip; if trip is canceled, all fees will be refunded.
Trip Limit: maximum of 20, minimum of ten.
