Full Moon Paddle

Come join Campus Recreation and Outdoor Adventures for a Full Moon Paddle on Mobile Bay on Friday, September 4.

We will depart from the Causeway at Scott’s Landing, paddle up the Blakeley River, and then dip into surrounding waterways and head into Justins Bay. We will pass by alligators, jumping fish, and other “creatures of the night.” And of course watch the gorgeous “moon over Mobile” rise in the sky.

We will leave Campus Rec at 5:30 p.m. and drive to the Causeway for dinner (optional; you may meet us at the restaurant.) After dinner, we will put in around 7:30 p.m., paddle and return to the Rec Center around 10:00 p.m.

Cost (per person): $10 for students/one family member, $15 for staff/faculty/one family member, $25 non-USA.   We will supply kayaks and canoes and transportation, you supply snacks/drinks and flashlights.

Sign-up: with Randy Hunter, Campus Recreation or leave a check for the $10 deposit or for the full amount payable to “U.S.A.” (sorry, no cash) along with your name and cell phone number at the Front Desk of& the Student Recreation Center. We will call you and confirm receipt of check. Full amount is due the day prior to the trip. Fees paid are non-refundable within 3 days of trip UNLESS we can replace you or trip is canceled. Checks will not be deposited until completion of trip; if trip is canceled, all fees will be refunded.
                                                                                                   
Trip limit: maximum of fourteen, minimum of eight.
