WALKING TOUR OF MOBILE
Come join Campus Recreation and Outdoor Adventures as we go on a Walking Tour of Mobile on November 24 (Saturday).
This is a wonderful opportunity to see downtown historic Mobile “up close and personal.” Our walk – with the very knowledgeable and entertaining Richard Rose serving as our guide - will enable us to develop a real historical understanding of this wonderful city as we stroll by antebellum homes, museums, monuments, and old cemeteries. We will walk 7 miles in 4 hours and will stop 1 hour for lunch at “Spot of Tea.” Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes and your camera. We will meet at Fort Conde at 8:30 a.m., begin our tour at 9 a.m., and finish around 3:00 p.m. (If you need a ride, please let us know and we will make arrangements.)
Cost: $5 for students, $10 for faculty/staff/alums. Friends and family may attend for $10. This is a great way to entertain family visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday!
How to sign up: send us your name, cell phone number, and number of people in your party. You may pay at Fort Conde when we meet to start our tour.
Trip limit: maximum of twenty, minimum of six.
