How do I completely withdraw from the University? |
In order to completely withdraw from the University, you may drop all of your courses using PAWS. If you have a registration hold that prevents you from dropping courses, you must go to the Office of the Registrar before the drop deadline to withdraw. Refer to the Academic Calendar for Dates.

How and when do I file for graduation? |
You
must make application to the Office of the Registrar
according to the deadline dates specified in the University
Calendar and published in the University
Bulletin and the JagTraks Registration Guide. The deadline is two terms before you
expect to complete all degree requirements. Go to

for important dates.

How do I obtain enrollment/degree verification, Good Student
Discount or health insurance certification? |
The University of South Alabama has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse’ to provide degree and enrollment verification.
The National Student Clearinghouse can be accessed through the PAWS Website.
Click on the Secure Area
Enter J# and PIN
Select Student Services and Financial Aid
Select Student Records
Select Enrollment Certification (National Clearinghouse)
Complete information as required
Note: The University submits information to the Clearinghouse three times during the term (after the first week of class, at midterm, and at the end of the term) and that it may take up to three weeks after these submissions for information to be available from the Clearinghouse.

How do I change my major? |
All
program, major, minor or concentration changes will
be processed in the Office of the Registrar. To change
your program, major, minor or concentration, you may
obtain the appropriate form from your major department
or the Office of the Registrar service window (Meisler Hall, Suite 1100). Submit the completed form to your current major
department and obtain appropriate signatures. The
completed form must be returned to the Office of the
Registrar for processing.
Note:
If you are a candidate for graduation and wish to
change your program, major, minor, or concentration,
a reevaluation fee of $15.00 must be paid before
the change will be processed.

How do I request a Transcript? |
The
Office of the Registrar provides academic transcripts
only with written authorization from the student.
A $6.00 fee is charged for each transcript. Processing
time normally takes two days. For complete information
on requesting a transcript, go to
