Have you ever thought about in employing virtual worlds in educational or research activities? Would you be interested in participating in a Second Life educator's interest group at South Alabama? Dr. Jack Dempsey and Stasia Weston of the USA Online Learning Lab will give a brief overview of higher education in Second Life, the leading virtual world platform. The primary goal of the brown bag will be an open discussion regarding the creation and function of SAESL (South Alabama Educators in Second Life), a new in-world group for faculty and graduate students. No prior experience using Second Life is necessary.

Later in the week the OLL and PETAL will co-sponsor two hands-on "Getting Started in Second Life" workshops at the College of Education.

Lunch will be provided for all who register.
