Alcohol, Drug and Weapons Policy

Alcohol Policy: Alcoholic beverages will not be sold, possessed, distributed, consumed nor manufactured on campus without permission from the University. The complete policy may be found in the "LowDown" page 158.

Drug Policy: Drugs, drug paraphernalia and controlled substances prohibited by law are strictly prohibited on all University properties. The complete policy and educational requirements may be found in the "LowDown" pages 158-163.

Weapons Policy: Except as authorized by state or federal law, weapons of any type are not permitted on University Property. University police and security officers are armed for self protection and the protection of others. In addition to the officer's initial firearms training and qualification, officers are provided additional training and qualification by certified firearm's instructors at least once annually. University Police officers are trained to use that force necessary to overcome resistance and maintain control when justified and as authorized by law.
