Research Interests

Audiovisual speech; Audiovisual space and motion; Multimodal integration; Sensory vs. perceptual changes with age; Models of cognitive aging; Human Factors; Natural invariants and ecological perception, Faces and Emotion.

There are age-related changes to the cognitive, perceptual and sensory systems. These changes affect how we detect information, its use in perception and cognition, and our ability to initiate responsive actions in response to that information. My research examines these age-related changes using paradigms such as the detection of audiovisual speech and the detection of approaching objects.
