Faculty and graduate students are encouraged to present their research, scholarly and creative projects at the 12th Annual USA Research Forum, which will feature a speaker and weeklong poster display April 11-15 in the Student Center Lobby.
Dr. John Hall, renowned Alabama naturalist and retired assistant director of the Alabama Museum of Natural History, is the distinguished speaker for this year's forum. He will present "Alabama History: A Naturalist's Perspective" at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14 in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center.
Following Hall's presentation, refreshments and dialog with forum participants will be held at the forum displays in the Student Center Lobby.
The forum is a celebration of the extensive and diverse contributions of all University disciplines. It also gives the University community an opportunity to talk with faculty from across campus and to show appreciation for the breadth of talent at USA. Last year's forum included 46 presentations from over 15 departments.
Submission forms with information concerning abstracts and presentations are available at http://www.southalabama.edu/graduateprograms/research.html.
