Meisler Hall Dedication

Meisler Hall Dedication Ceremony

Hundreds gathered to dedicate the University’s new student services building named in honor of Herbert A. and Fanny R. Meisler of Mobile who donated $2 million to endow the facility, which cost approximately $8 million to build. From left are President Gordon Moulton, donors Fanny and Herbert Meisler, Chair Pro Tempore of the USA Board of Trustees Donald L. Langham and Campaign Leadership Chair James A. Yance. The Meisler’s gift will be the first endowment in the history of USA to be designated for the support of ongoing quality enhancement of a building. The endowment will enhance the current and future quality of student services by helping to meet the special and emerging needs of this facility--to include future expansion, renovation, new equipment and special building enhancements. Meisler Hall, built under the direction of Hudak & Dawson Construction Company, Inc. consists of 43,000 square feet of space and houses the following vital student services: Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounting, International Student Services, Career Services, Enrollment Services, Registrar, New Student Orientation and Veterans Affairs.
