The University of South Alabama Student Government Association will present a petition in favor of NCAA-sanctioned football to USA President Gordon Moulton at halftime of the Jaguar Basketball game on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Mitchell Center.
Over the last several weeks, students collected more than 2,000 signatures in favor of NCAA-sanctioned football. Students will storm the basketball court during halftime and present the petitions to President Moulton. A 15-foot scroll of names will be unfurled.
Students will “Make History at Halftime.” All USA students at the game will storm the basketball court during halftime as SGA President Jennifer Edwards presents the signed petitions in support of NCAA-sanctioned football to Moulton.
Before the basketball game, the students will be tailgating in the Gamma-Engineering parking lot, off South Drive, northwest of the Mitchell Center. The event will include a performance by the African-American Student Association’s Dance Team and free T-shirts. At 7 p.m., the Jaguar basketball game begins at the Mitchell Center.
