University of South Alabama students and alumni are invited to speak with representatives from 80 local and national companies during the 2008 Spring Career Expo, which will be held from 1-4:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21 in the Mitchell Center Arena.
The job fair, sponsored by the USA Career Services Center, is the largest employment event of the year. It provides students and alumni with information about current job openings and career fields. Undergraduate students can also learn about co-ops and internship opportunities.
Prior to the expo, students and alumni can attend various workshops to help them prepare for the event. The workshops include: “Resume Development: Write it Right” at noon on Monday, Feb. 11; “Interview Skills: Putting Your Best ‘You’ Forward” at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12; and “Career Expo Success: Learn How to Work a Career Fair” at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13. All of the workshops will be held in the USA Career Services Center, 2100 Meisler Hall.
