The University of South Alabama will hold its first Homecoming tied to the new Jaguar Football and Marching Band programs, featuring several major public events. The theme for the historic Homecoming is “First and Ten: A Tradition Begins.”
On Friday, Nov. 6, the community is invited to tour the new football field house from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. A Homecoming parade will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a pep rally and bonfire at the track near the Mitchell Center.
Homecoming Day, on Saturday, Nov. 7, will feature the USA Jaguar Football game against Milford Academy of New York at 4 p.m. at Ladd-Peebles Memorial Stadium. For ticket information, visit www.usagameday.com.
Miss America Katie Stam will be a special guest of USA’s during Homecoming week. She will visit patients at USA Children’s and Women’s Hospital on Friday, Nov. 6, and she will participate in the Homecoming parade later that day. She will also attend the USA football game on Saturday, Nov. 7. She will autograph photos for the community in front of the USA alumni tent prior to the game, and she will sing the national anthem.
