University employees raised a record $521,093 during the 2010 Faculty/Staff Annual Fund, beating the $480,000 goal. Some 68 percent of University employees participated, with 57 departments having full participation. Dr. Errol Crook, professor and chair of internal medicine, and Dr. David Stearns, associate vice president for enrollment services, served as co-chairs of the 2010 Faculty/Staff Annual Fund. The theme of this year’s campaign was T.E.A.M., “Together Everyone Achieves More.”
This year represents the seventh consecutive Faculty/Staff Annual Fund campaign. Funds raised directly support University students, programs and those served by the University. The campaign's annual success is in great part due to the division or department representatives who distribute campaign brochures, posters, and pledge cards.
At a recent luncheon at the Mitchell Center, President Gordon Moulton commended the departmental representatives and all University employees on maintaining their generosity at record levels, even during challenging economic times.
