The fifth-annual “GO” for Gynecologic Oncology, a 5K and one mile Fun Run/Walk presented by Patricia Cobb Rodgers & Family, will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 8 a.m. at the University of South Alabama Moulton Tower and Alumni Plaza to benefit gynecologic cancer research at the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute.

The event will include prizes, music, free food and children’s activities such as an inflatable slide. Race registration will begin at 6:30 a.m.

Since it was first held in 2008, the “GO” Run has grown dramatically. Last year, the event had more than 1,200 participants and raised over $63,000 for gynecologic cancer research at the USAMCI.
