Yellow Ribbon Program

The University of South Alabama has pledged its’ resources to assist all veterans and veterans’ dependents who are charged out-of-state tuition. Beginning 1 August 2013, the University of South Alabama will be participating in the Department of Veteran Affairs Yellow Ribbon Program. South Alabama will provide, to eligible students, 50% of tuition not covered by the standard Post 9/11 G.I. Bill. The Department of Veteran Affairs will match the remaining 50%. This will cover the entire cost of tuition and fees for out of state students.

Some institutions only cover a limited number of students, limit the level of degrees, or limit the amount of funds paid toward out-of-state tuition. South Alabama is showing its commitment to our veterans and their dependents by covering all V.A. eligible students in pursuit of all V.A. approved degrees, at all levels of study.

You may be eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program if:
