Yellow Ribbon Program
The University of South Alabama has pledged its’
resources to assist all veterans and veterans’ dependents who
are charged out-of-state tuition. Beginning 1 August 2013, the University
of South Alabama will be participating in the Department of Veteran
Affairs Yellow Ribbon Program. South Alabama will provide, to eligible
students, 50% of tuition not covered by the standard Post 9/11 G.I.
Bill. The Department of Veteran Affairs will match the remaining 50%.
This will cover the entire cost of tuition and fees for out of state
Some institutions only cover a limited number of students, limit the
level of degrees, or limit the amount of funds paid toward out-of-state

their dependents by covering all V.A. eligible students in pursuit of
all V.A. approved degrees, at all levels of study.
