University of South Alabama Department of Emergency Medical Services and Center for Emergency Response Training www.southalabama.edu/ems USA's own Department of EMS has provided guidance and training for the USA Rescue Squad. They teach EMT courses and other assorted EMS classes.

National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians www.nremt.org  The NREMT provides examinations to nationally certify First Responders, EMTs, and Paramedics. NREMT certification is the standard for licensure as an EMT in 44 states, including Alabama.

Alabama Association of Rescue Squads www.alars.org The AARS has been a tremendous help to the USA Rescue Squad. They are the accrediting agency for Rescue Squads in the State of Alabama. USA Rescue is accredited by AARS.

National Collegiate EMS Foundation www.ncemsf.org The NCEMSF is the organizing body for the 150+ student-run EMS/Rescue Services on college and university campuses around the world. USARS is the first collegiate EMS unit in Alabama.
