The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC):
 
  • Reviews and approves protocols involving the use of animals
  • Reviews and investigates concerns about animal care and use
  • Conducts semi-annual inspections of institutional animal facilities / laboratories
  • Responsible for oversight and evaluation of institution's animal care and use program
  • Monitors training program for faculty and personnel using animals in research
