Interdisciplinary Studies Online Degree Completion Program


The Department of Interdisciplinary Studies offers an online degree completion program. To qualify, students should have about half of their degree completed (about 64 semester hours), including general education requirements, and must be accepted for admission to the University of South Alabama. The online degree completion program leads to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.


Through the Interdisciplinary Studies online degree completion program, students will select a concentration comprised of three disciplines of study. Online disciplines include*:

Anthropology

Business Environment

Communication

Criminal Justice

Gerontology

History

Interdisciplinary Studies

Philosophy

Political Science

Psychology

Sociology





Examples of concentrations and disciplines:


  • Bachelor of Science with a Concentration in Administrative Science, with disciplines in Business Environment, Communication, and Interdisciplinary Studies.

  • Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Human Services, with disciplines in Sociology, Psychology, and Interdisciplinary Studies

  • Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Community Services, with disciplines in Criminal Justice, History, and Interdisciplinary Studies

  • Bachelor of Arts with a Concentration in Liberal Studies, with disciplines in History, Philosophy, and Interdisciplinary Studies
