OFFICER’S REPORTS:
President: N/A
Vice President: Proctor reminded senators that the dinner with President Moulton is next week. Dress is business casual, senators should RSVP by tonight. On October 26, the Senate will be discussing Jag Tran routes. Proctor asked senators to bring their ideas on what does or does not work with the routes, stops, etc.
Treasurer: N/A
Attorney General: Bettis cautioned senators not to wait until the last minute to get their office hours done. There is a limit of 5 hours per week.
Chief Justice: Al-Greene informed the senate that due to a glitch with Institutional Research and Microsoft Excel, the Runoff election is discontinued and will instead be restarted on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week.
Student-At-Large: Pittman thanked everyone who came to the Student Center Advisory Board meeting. She also invited everyone to come to the football game at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Senator Perry reminded Campus Organizations that the Homecoming Packets are due Friday.
Senator Guy has updated all office hours, including appropriations hours. She also reminded senators to sign their names on the sign-in sheet in the office when they put up or take down placards.
Senator Sanders asked the Rule Committee to get together with her after this meeting.
SPECIAL ORDERS:
Dean Mitchell asked senators to RSVP for the dinner at President Moulton’s house so they can know how much food is needed. He also said that Senators will need to arrange their own transportation to Fairhope. Dean Mitchell also reminded those students who received Who’s Who applications to complete them and turn them in by November 2nd. Those who did not get applications but would still like to apply can get the forms in room 270.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Al-Greene met with the Parking Committee to discuss possible ways to alleviate some of the parking issues that have come up so far. Possible ideas include opening up the Institutional Research parking lot and running a shuttle to the Allied Health building, or having students park at the University Commons and running a shuttle to the main campus. Any ideas they have will not go into effect until Fall 2010.
Senator Reid asked Allied Health and Nursing Senators to stay after the meeting to discuss and plan College Days.
Senator Perry is selling Kappa Delta Shamrock tickets for a pancake breakfast, with all proceeds going to benefit the Penelope House.
Youngblood invited all Senators and Officers to Sabor A Mexico on Thursday at 9:00 PM.
Senator Ramsey encouraged senators to come to the Food Services Committee meeting next Wednesday on October 21st at the Beta/Gamma Commons
Treasurer Baldwin will have detailed statistics and pie charts in two weeks’ time. He will make a presentation to the Senate about how they are spending their appropriations money.
