Day 3 - May 13th

We drove from Childress, TX to Enid, OK and waited for convective initiation at Meadowlake Park just north of Vance AFB. Storms initiated along the cold front in SE Kansas and north-central Oklahoma and we intercepted a storm near the KS/OK border to the NW of Enid. We saw a thin rope tornado beneath a well-defined base lowering near Salt Fork, OK in Grant County. We chase a few other storms on our way back to Oklahoma City. On Thursday we will be targeting SW Texas and then likely Kansas on Friday.
