Participating as a Witness


Witnesses to alleged violations of policy are contacted by one of four parties: the accused, the complainant, the victim, or the hearing officer. When contacted, witnesses will be given a time, date, and place of the hearing. A witness may refuse to participate or may participate in the following manner:


	a.	In writing, by providing a statement of fact before a hearing.
	b.	In writing, by answering written questions posed during the hearing.
	c.	In person, by attending the hearing and answering questions during the proceeding.
