To
the Web site of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Partnership between
the Mobile County Public Schools and the University of South Alabama
College of Education. The goal of the NCLB program is to prepare
highly qualified teachers through collaborative efforts for the
benefit of children.
While
the Secretary of Education’s Annual Report on Teacher Quality,
Meeting the Highly Qualified Teachers Challenge, is controversial
in many respects, the report rests on a solid foundation. Every
child is entitled to access to a highly qualified teacher. Preparing,
mentoring, and inducting highly qualified teachers into the teaching
profession is the joint responsibility of the University of South
Alabama and the Mobile County Public Schools. And that is the purpose
of our partnership, to fundamentally examine and continuously improve
our teacher education program for the betterment of our community.
Sincerely,

Phillip
