Ms. Sondra Alexander

Sondra Alexander is the Team Leader for the NCLB Partnership for the interns at Maryvale and Woodcock Elementary schools. Sondra has been with the Mobile County Public School System for 13 years. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of South Alabama and is currently pursuing an Educational Specialist degree. Sondra is also a math resource teacher for the Mobile Math Initiative. As Team Leader, Sondra will be the link between the University of South Alabama faculty and the Mobile County Public Schools and will encourage the “team effort” approach during the internship experience.

Dr. Andi Kent

Dr. Andi Kent is the Team Leader for the NCLB Partnership for the interns at Fonvielle and Forest Hill Elementary Schools. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Mobile and her Master's degree from the University of South Alabama. Dr. Kent also obtained her Ph.D. in Instructional Design at the University of South Alabama. Before becoming a Team Leader with the NCLB Partnership, she was a classroom teacher at Burroughs Elementary for five years, and was a reading specialist/coach at Hamilton Elementary for three years. In addition, Dr. Kent has been a presenter for the Alabama Reading Initiative and the MCPSS Balanced Literacy workshops.
