| My internship in kindergarten has been a very enjoyable experience. The students in my classroom are always captivated by a read aloud. During Thanksgiving, we read the book A Plump and Perky Turkey by Theresa Bateman and illustrated by Jeff Shelly. A read aloud serves several purposes; one is to demonstrate various reading strategies, expose children to different genres and familiarize them with some of their features and to take them beyond what they can read on their own. | ||||||
