Shared reading is sharing stories and reading together with the students. It encourages early reading enjoyment and reading support for young children. During shared reading, the students focus on the pictures and the text to make predictions and generate meaning. |

Once students become familiar with a story or reading, they will be
able to read along with you, fill in the gaps, play rhyming games, and
even identify elicit words. |
